:)Hello Cyrannus Members! It's March already, and here I type the second newsletter.
Well, to kick off with I wish to say thank you and hugs once again to Hawke, one of our co-administrators and web/tech guru, for nominating the Star Cyrannus Society for March Board of the Month on the proboard site, "The Admin Source".
We won! Yay!
The prize for the winner is to have prime advertising space on "The Admin Source" for a month. The SCS banner now graces the top advertising space of that site.
Additional thanks go to Athene(also one our co-admins) for designing the site's banner in the first place, and to my brother(and Lotus Sunrise webmaster) for adding in the caption I wanted to use for advertising our Society!
Caption:
"A place to celebrate, where we came from, were we are going, who we once were, and still are... Star Cyrannus Society"
What do you all think? I thought it was catchy...lol.
As far as I am concerned we ALL won this honor, for it because of all of you, members and staff, that the Star Cyrannus Society is a success and growing in members every month! Thank you everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Onto other matters, I am planning a "Inter-Galactic Chat" in our SCS chat room for any members who would like to come and join in and have a free topic chat/discussion and giggle. It will be the Society's maiden chat!
For US , Canadian, and South American members, we are scheduled for the 20th March 2009.
For Australian members, this will be the 21st March 2009, as we are a day ahead.
The time, 1PM Eastern Australian time. I have decided to move it up earlier in light of the US and neighbouring countries changing over to DST for their summer months. So this will bring it up earlier in the evening for you all, that live over the big pond!
You will have to configure your local time zone to Eastern AUS time.
If you have trouble doing this, send me a PM with your residential state and/or country, and I can help to figure it out for you.
"Siress-in training" progress reports are still coming. I had all good intentions to do this last month, but there were matters that needed my immediate attention, and so I was unable to post any thing as yet.
I will be compiling reports real soon!
On a different note, many of you may be wondering exactly when Richard will be arriving on the Corona. Well, I last heard from him on this matter early last month, and that he was planning to drop by in the week that followed after his email to me.
However, I think Richard has become very busy with his work and projects currently, without a doubt, and due to this it has postponed his visit to join us.
I do believe though he will come aboard eventually for sure!
Richard expressed his delight to be invited to be our Honorary Member and looked forward to participating in the forum, but sometimes one's life may become diverted, and so we must just be patient, for all good things come to those who wait.
And so in the spirit of Richard's own words, let us Keep the Faith!
Mr Hatch may arrive suddenly before we know it! So keep those combat helmets shiny and your vipers in top shape!
In addition to the pleasure of our several "Cyrannus Ambassadors" that docked with us last month, we now have a new group forming in our society, called "Cyrannus Colonial Merchants". Bishop37 (Peter Noble), and Reaper are two members who have been invited to belong to this number. Both have now joined us.Thanks gentlemen!
They will be able to provide info and links and help for any members looking for BSG memorabilia, merchandise and costumes and the ilk.
Well, I shall round off here today.
Thank you very much for your contributions, and your frequent participation with us!
Wishing you all the very best always!
With affection, and twinkling stars,
Siress Sarika
