Sparkling Salutations everyone!
I hope my third newsletter of the yahren finds you all in splendid health and as happy Cyrannusians, as you will find your Siress very well indeed as well.
Let's start with the Super Nova Convention in Brisbane in early April, where our site's expected Honorary Member, Richard Hatch, found himself enjoying the Australian hospitality, friendly people, sites, and the beer while he was here! I was most pleased to hear he loved it out here!
Unfortunately, I was not able to attend personally, due to commitments at home.
However, one of our Cyrannus members, you know her by the name of Chalchi, did have the wonderful opportunity to attend and meet Richard in person.
I hope she may share with us her lovely photo she had taken with the man of the hour, and her personal autographed pic of the Captain !
Chalchi reported that she had the time of her life, and I'm sure it will be most memorable for a long time to come!!
Congrats Chalchi!
Richard will be returning to Australian shores to attend the Super Nova in Sydney and Perth by mid yahren, and God willing, I will have the time and ability to travel to attend the Sydney convention and meet Mr Hatch myself! (May even kidnap him...LOL!) ;D
The extra perk is that not only will Richard be there, but Dirk Benedict (our lovable Lieutenant Starbuck), as well!!!!
Talk about catching two birds with one stone! LOL! ;D
What a thrill that will be! So, you can imagine, I am lighting every candle in the Templum, and giving offerings to gain grace from all the Lords of Kobol for me to dock with this star studded event!
Wish me luck!
Onto other matters, there have been some new members arriving with us over the past month, and I welcome you all!
It's great to see some of you getting more into the spirit of posting and joining in with topic discussions. After all it's because of our members that we make a real forum home and community!
So thank you!
My staff continue to be such a steady group, whose contributions and assistance I could not do without. So a big hug for you all, my dear friends!
Some of you may have seen the fantastic Colonial Viper Pilot Certificate that a member on the Colonial Fleets Forum has made and it is available for anyone to download from his site to enjoy. 8-)I was so impressed by this fellow's work that I sent him a message asking if he would be willing to create a certificate that I wish to make downloadable, per my text and images ideas for such a document, for all my Siresses-in-training, once they have completed their course in noble finishing classes.
He said yes! And so I am most appreciative of his graciousness to make this for us.
I can't wait to see it! A big thanks to Commander Kerner!!
I am yet to print off my viper pilot certificate. That's one for a frame! Hmmmm...wonder if he'd make a wallet size V.P licence? HA! wouldn't that be outrageously funny if an Earth law enforcement officer pulled you over in one of those earth transportation vehicles that they drive and you handed him/her your Viper Pilot Licence card to view? All the while, you remain with a perfectly calm and serene expression in your countenance??? ROTFLOL!!!! ;D ;D
Ahhhh...anyhoo...
Well, that's all I have to write about this sectar, so until next sectar, I wish everyone good health and happiness, and don't speed in your viper!
Affectionatley,
Siress Sarika
