This is a perfect board for me because I am subscribed to several Astronomy and Space update newsletters...so I thought I'd share this with you; www.space.com/eclipse/It's a page that lists everything you'd wanna know about Solar & Lunar eclipses.

Thank you very much Nacky! Do we know each other from another forum? In any case, I appreciate your post( great link!) and thanks for joining up with us! Are you a BSG fan too? I belong to My Astrospace forum, and love buying my Sky & Telescope magazine! Do you do much good seeing with your telescope?

Hi Sarika! Yes we are both on another site. Yes I like the Battlestar Galactica original series, I've seen some of the new series but haven't kept up with it.
I know you from Richard Hatch's circle of friends and am also one of his friends on MySpace. Although I've never met him personally, he is very gracious and has talked with me a couple of times.
I love Sky & Telescope, and other such publications. As of yet, I've no telescope but have a high-powered pair of binoculars. If I had the money I'd buy a refractor telescope and a reflector telescope for travelling up to key locations to view the stars.

Hi Sarika! Yes we are both on the Dirk Benedict Central site. Yes I am a fan of the Battlestar Galactica original series, I've seen some of the new series but haven't kept up with it. DBC; That's where I know you from and I believe we are on each other's friends list at MySpace, as well. Oh wow!!!! That's where I know you from! I'm so happy to have you with us, and, then in that case, may I offer you a moderator's position here on this topic board, "Eye of God"? It would be an honor to have such a ardent amateuer astronomer to make this an astro-happening board!! Yes, Richard is a lovely gentleman. We keep in touch often! He's real sweet, and talanted of course! I must check my friend's list more often... I have only started returning to DBC again..been busy with this place! My staff are just wonderful, and my web tech is extra wonderful! I'm very grateful. I have a modest reflector telescope, and am missing doing some viewing...now we have some cloudy weather due to summer storms here in north Queensland, and so I must wait for clearer weather.

Truthfully I haven't had any time to go stargazing. Too much happening. The other place, I'll stop by there and look around. Avoiding a couple of people there. It's like when one troll is leaving me alone, another steps in to take its place. Anyway, I looked around on MySpace and I guess I didn't add you as a friend yet. So sorry 'bout that. I'll send you my link. As for the moderator status, I mean, you can do whatever you'd like, it's okay with me whatever you do but I'm glad to share whatever I come across anyway. Richard has been busy. As always

Sorry to hear about the troubles, but don't allow it to get to you. We here are people who don't bother with those who only wish to vexate others. Anyone wanting to do that here, will be promptly disabled from thier accounts. My rules state such, you'll find that in the "A Siress' Legacy" board. Anyway, let's just see in the meantime how things go with this topic board, and if things get too hectic, then you may wish to moderate for it. Love what you 're doing in the meantime, truly appreciate it!

Thanks for everything, Siress. An example of such things that I see around. That reflect things similar to what I see...
There was this guy in Colorado who was on trial for killing a boy and all kinds of horrible things and he was found guilty and he showed no remorse or any conscience for what he'd done and the reporters there were, of course, only there to get their story. The guy flipped off the reporters and suddenly the reporters were peeved and started to write him as the monster he was...however prior to that incident they were all basically sympathic to him and treating him to interviews and giving of their time to him. Until he made them mad. Then it was different. Oh but the media still treated the victims like crap. Making fun of them. The victims never even got a chance. What is it about bloodthirsty society that feeds like a pack of wild animals on any poor soul who happened to be in such a tragedy?
