I am saddened to hear about those terrible fires in southern state of Victoria in Australia, dear Siress! I do hope there is none of your own loved ones or friends caught in them, or suffering as I have heard so many are. My prayers go out to them.

For those interested, 173 lives have been lost to these fires at this time.
And, I believe they are having flooding in your area of Australia, right Sarika?

Yes, we are enduring some flooding in my state of Queensland, however, my town is fine, we have had much rain for almost a month now. We're getting some sunshine at last though now, with more rain expected again this week. Indeed, the Victorian bush fires have been just awful, on a scale like never seen before here. We are used to them around the dry areas that haven't had thier rain quota, but they also had a shocking heatwave over 40°C. That didn't help the situation, fireballs were just ripping through the towns, and now there are some towns completely wiped out, with nothing spared! The recent deatht toll is now sadly up to 300 lives lost. It's unbelievable. And to think this was all started by fire bugs. May they be brought to the hands of the authorities, because they have caused mass murder. They are a waste of space, and are of no use to to the human race. If the authorites don't find them first, God help them, if the victims of the fires who have survived but lost everything, do.

I must say that the best story I've ever heard came out of this wildfire. I'm sure everyone has heard it...the story of Sam the Koala! That one just tugged at my heart.

Indeed, isn't he just adorable? There are so many other wildlife animals being brought in more and more also, as you can well imagine to be cared for. The poor things. Thank you for your kind thoughts girls!
