I would like to ask that all my friends here pray for my hubby's friend Mike who is in the advanced stages of lung cancer. We are praying that he makes it for as long as he can but how long he is with us is unsure at this time. He went in to the hospital last week when he became very weak from the chemo and radiation treatments he's been having and they found his white count is up way high

Prayers to your friend. It is a terrible thing, this cancer. But keep up your spirits. Miracles can happen.. Hugs

Mike's at home but he's not doing very good. Hubby plans on going to see him very soon and it looks like he's failing faster than we thoght originally. Now the prognosis is that we may lose him by late spring/early summer. He's getting weaker and is very depressed the last time my hubby talked to Mike's wife.
On top of this, I talked to one of my aunts over the weekend and my uncle has been having health problems again. The doctors are monitoring it. He had similar problems last year when my hubby and I were on vacation.

I can understand well your feelings about your friend, Empress. One of my cousins's husband is also battling with cancer and has held on for four years now (beyond what the doctors originally destined him for, they gave him only 6 months), but now, he is becoming weaker and the cancer has sadly spread more to the point that he may only be with us until September or so. He is a lovely person and has been ever so determined. He will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to my cousin. May the great spirit that is found in all corners of the universe and beyond embrace her during these most difficult times, and help to keep her in God's care. I wish this same prayers for your friend's wife, and family, and for you.
May the Lords be with you. Remember a spirit of a person goes on eternally, as you too will.

I just wanted to let you know that my hubby's friend lost the battle with his cancer yesterday. My hubby and I are a bit shaken over this even though we knew it was coming. As far as we know the services for our friend will be on Sunday and burial on Monday.
At least our friend is at peace and is not suffering.

Empress I am deeply sorry for your loss. Please know if you need a friend or just an ear, we are here. I am always here for you. Indeed, your friend is in a better place, and he will be certainly at peace.
Take time with your hubby to heal from this. Look after one another and yourself too. With kindest thoughts and a big hug for you!
